Method. Pre-provisional scores use BFA Rule 14.5 proportional scoring. Group A = measured; Group B (flew, no result) is ranked at the bottom and scored with the inferior-half formula (matching WatchMeFly's published behaviour — the doc's "Formula Three" is not what the live site applies on normal tasks). Results "outside MMA" or with no physical marker drop are treated as Group B (flew, ~100 m–2 km, worse than any measured result); "Waiting" rows are excluded until they resolve. Practice tasks are always excluded from standings. Sparse tasks (fewer measured results than the median rank — common mid-flight) still score the measured pilots and tie the no-result group at the bottom, but are flagged as rough; only when almost nothing is measured (fewer than 2) does the estimate fall back.
